From the moment of birth onwards, humans strive towards independence. Children feel this need very strongly; they wish to do things for themselves and participate in the world around them. Obviously, all offer the children complex, sensory and intellectual experiences. Now, I hope you will realise and agree that children when first entering a Montessori environment will explore an immediate and touching moment in agreement with what you felt.
