Montessori is a way of life, it’s all about understanding your child and the way they grow. Montessori family is not about expensive wooden toys. Children get creative and explore the activities introduced to them. Children get involved in daily life activities and Montessori gives them opportunities to be independent.

What are the benefits of attending a Montessori school?
Montessori encourages children to be active in their own learning environment following and exploring their interest. Children learn to be independent, self-disciplined, self-motivated and take care of themselves and those around them as well. They question the world around them and explore solutions to every day situations. Children learn to take responsibility for their own decisions and choices. They learn that their decisions can impact others too.

Is Montessori proposed to homework?
Montessori Schools do not assign homework. Instead, the older child are given creative and meaningful assignments expanding on their class topics, inviting parents and children to work together.

How do Montessori schools report the child’s progress?
A Self- Evaluation report for the past months is done regarding the work the child accomplished, what the child enjoyed the most, what they found difficult and what would they wish to learn in the next three months. The report is reviewed and comments are added but the facilitator. Parents and teachers go through the Portfolios of the students in most Montessori schools. Teachers assessment of the child’s progress is also maintained in a few Montessori schools.

Will my child be able to adjust to traditional public or private schools after Montessori?
By the beginning of age 6, Montessori children turn to be confident learners looking forward to step into school. With a lot of questions to ask they get to be enthusiastic learners. Most adapt to the new setting.

In the midst of art, music , dance and creative drama, the child enjoys each and every activity in the environment. Imagination plays a central role, as children explore how the world works, visualise other cultures and search for creative solutions to real-life problems.
